Description
Starfrost Helix Spiral Freezer 85-24 RR-19
1999 prod year, renewed in 2010
The Starfrost Helix Spiral Freezer combines compactness with a highly efficient conveying and freezing system, ideally suited to handling a wide variety of food products.
The conveyor belt can be loaded externally or via an optional Tangential Infeed Conveyor which is not included. Inside the freezing zone, the belt contracts around a rotating drum that drives it through 19 tiers of the spiral system. Constructed from stainless steel with a mesh overlay, the belt is highly durable.
Cold air, circulated by axial flow fans and cooled by a fin-and-tube evaporator, flows vertically through the belt in a unique guided pattern. This ensures rapid heat extraction while protecting delicate products. After freezing, the conveyor discharges products from a high-level outfeed.
Insulated Enclosure
The freezer is surrounded by a self-supporting insulated enclosure, made of 150 mm thick polyurethane panels with plastisol sheeting. Two hinged access doors provide entry for maintenance and cleaning. The sloped, GRP-covered floor ensures proper drainage of sanitation and defrost water.
Key Components
Manufactured from galvanized steel tubes and fins, pressure-tested to 24 bar, and equipped with defrost water nozzles.
Axial fans with aluminum impellers deliver consistent airflow, driven by IP55-protected motors.
A stainless steel continuous belt supported by low-friction UHMW plastic rails. Hinged doors around the conveyor provide easy access for cleaning.
A central galvanized steel drive drum with stainless cladding rotates the belt, powered by a geared motor with variable speed control.
A stainless steel IP55-rated panel includes mimic diagrams, emergency stops, fault detectors, and digital meters for retention time and temperature.
Integrated high-pressure washing system for thorough cleaning of the conveyor.
(Optional) For loading delicate products, with synchronized speed control via a geared motor.
Main Specifications:
